Not a good night.
Someone tried to break in. The fire alarm went off, but there was no fire... I did smell a whiff of smoke, however, I couldn't find from where it was coming. And the neighbors wouldn't shut up until well after midnight.
And that's all after I went to bed.
After work, I did a little grocery shopping and picked up a couple of things for the apartment. I didn't get back until eight, and by then I was dizzy from not eating. (I hadn't gotten a chance to eat since six-thirty that morning.) Before I could eat, I had to put away the groceries and build the little stand to hold my microwave. Once that was done, it was well after ten and I had work in the morning, so I couldn't make myself that supper of artichokes I'd been dreaming about. I ended up eating a bagel, taking my shower and trying to go to bed.
As I mentioned above, that didn't work out too well. O_; I called off for car trouble. I have a flat and my little air pump isn't working. I was going to have it all fixed today, after work... so it gets done a little early and I get some real rest.

I hit a milestone with my rogue and he's not even dented. Ten finally made it to level 70. This means, I should be working on getting Yon to the Outlands.

"What is this?" I tapped the worn leather cover
"Al Azif." My companion replied simply.
"Al Azif? What's that?"
"It means 'the odd noise' in Arabic. It is sometimes said to be the droning sound of night insects or the raving of demons. Perhaps you'd recognize the tome if I called it by it's Greek name: Necronomicon."
"The Book of Dead Names?"
"That's one translation. I've also seen it translated as 'The Book of Dead Laws' or 'The Classification of the Dead.'"
"So... what's inside?" I asked as I fingered the corners of the cover
My companion's face fell."You do not recognize even the Greek name?"
"I admit it does sound familiar. Perhaps it was mentioned in some other folio?"
"It has been mentioned in many. It is the world's most supressed book. It contains dangerous knowledge..."
